recognised for their dancing singing skills

earmarked in temples for devoted activities

(deliberateley) misrecognised by british and a few misguided indian puritans

branded as —–

without any other skills or monetary or social support

a few had no other recourse-thus reinforcing the popular perception/


dance went onto ignominy

(later revived with the efforts of weel meaning art patrons)


i am educated well versed in social behaviour and in a well paying career

but the syigma persists in a subtle manner when marriage is discused
